Global Physician Career · UAE
Career in the United Arab Emirates —
all steps at a glance.
Are you a physician looking to work in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or one of the northern Emirates? The path leads through multiple authorities, a document verification process and typically an examination. We accompany you through the entire process — from the initial assessment to the submitted licence application. You pay for our preparation and guidance, independent of the outcome of the official process.
The typical process
The four steps — from assessment to licence.
Unlike Germany, there is no single national licence. Each emirate has its own authority — DHA (Dubai), DOH (Abu Dhabi) or MOHAP (other emirates). Here are the four phases every path goes through.
-
1
Eligibility Assessment
DHA, DOH or MOHAP — the differences are significant. We clarify which authority fits your profile before you invest time and money.
-
2
DataFlow Verification (PSV)
A mandatory step for all three authorities — and prone to error. We prepare your documents so the process runs smoothly.
-
3
Examination
Whether examination, exemption or both — this is a case-by-case decision. We clarify your status in advance and prepare you specifically.
-
4
Licence Application
The complete dossier, correctly submitted. We accompany every step — until the licence is granted.
Important notes
What you need to know in advance
Verified information — without glossy promises.
- There is no single UAE licence — a DHA licence (Dubai) does not apply in Abu Dhabi or the northern Emirates
- When changing emirate, the existing licence must be converted into the new authority's licence
- Extended practice gaps may affect eligibility — the threshold varies by authority and is often underestimated
- DataFlow verification is mandatory for all three authorities (DHA, DOH, MOHAP) and error-prone enough to cost months
- Authority fees (DataFlow, examination, licence) are not part of our fee and are paid directly to the respective bodies
Timeline
The licensing process in the UAE is longer and less predictable than it appears on paper. Practice gaps, incomplete documentation and authority backlogs each add time — often in parallel. Those who start without a clear picture of their profile regularly fall behind schedule.
Transparency
What we expressly do not do
So you know exactly where you stand — before any collaboration begins.
- No guarantee of a DHA, DOH or MOHAP licence, of passing an exam, of a visa or an employment contract.
- No legal, visa or immigration advice. We refer you to the relevant authorities and qualified advisers on the ground.
- No authentication of your documents — our document review means solely a completeness and plausibility check. Official authentication is carried out by DataFlow.
- No assurance of exam exemption — whether an exemption is possible is decided solely by the relevant authority based on your profile. This is a case-by-case decision.
- No job placement. Our fee is remuneration for our preparation and guidance services and is due regardless of whether you ultimately obtain a position in the UAE.
